"Melodies of Happiness" – When joy finds its voice in harmony

In a choir, singing together is about more than just strong vocals or sharp technique. It's about truly listening — stepping back when needed, waiting for one another, and blending as one to create something beautiful and unified.

Through the “Melodies of Happiness” music project, the Sedbergh Choir offered much more than a performance. They shared moments of connection — in every note sung, every glance exchanged, and every smile on stage, there was a genuine sense of joy and togetherness.

Behind each song were hours of vocal warm-ups and countless afternoons spent rehearsing as a team. But more importantly, it was through this journey that students learned patience, teamwork, and confidence — qualities that will carry with them far beyond the stage, into every part of their lives.

Career exploration workshop with Macquarie University

“Economics isn’t far away – it’s all around us.”

As part of Sedbergh Vietnam’s experiential learning series, Grade 10 students recently took part in an eye-opening career workshop led by guest speaker Dr. Onur Ates from Macquarie University (Australia). But this wasn’t your typical economics lecture — it was a dynamic, hands-on session that reshaped the way students see the world.

Through interactive games and role-playing activities, Wolves House’s members discovered that economics isn’t just about dry numbers or academic jargon. It’s present in every decision we make: knowing what we want, weighing pros and cons, assessing risks. In its simplest form, economics is about making choices — and understanding those choices better.

The workshop’s hands-on approach sparked critical thinking, expanded perspectives, and helped students build the habit of looking at problems from different angles — a skill set essential for both university and life beyond.

RAISING CHILDREN IN THE AGE OF AI: More than just a high-end laptop — what they really need is a present, aware adult!

AI is no longer just a growing trend — it’s gradually becoming an integral part of how children learn and grow, opening doors to countless opportunities for the next generation. But with great potential comes the need for intentional guidance. To truly benefit from AI, children must be equipped to engage with it consciously, critically, and selectively. And that’s where the role of parents becomes more essential than ever.

At SED Talks #5, parents joined guest speaker Dr. Cao Tien Dung in a thought-provoking conversation on parenting in the digital age. The session wasn’t about offering one “right” answer — it was about opening space for reflection and discussion around what truly matters:

Staying aware of both the opportunities and limitations of AI
Gaining clarity on the adult’s role in a child’s digital development
Drawing on shared insights to make choices that best suit each family’s unique context

This is exactly what Sedbergh Vietnam continues to strive for: staying ahead of the curve, thoughtfully analyzing global changes, and applying them to education in a way that’s scientific, flexible, and responsive to each stage of a student’s growth.

Making Friends with Books – A special visit from reading culture ambassador, Author Phuong Huyen

To kick off Book Week at Wolves House, our young readers in Primary had the unique opportunity to meet Author Phuong Huyen — a passionate advocate for building a strong reading culture within the community.

A highlight of the session was a live reading of ‘The Angels of the Forest Guardian’, brought to life by the author herself. This heartfelt story weaves a powerful message about our connection to nature and the importance of protecting the environment we live in.

But the experience didn’t end with just listening. The session became an engaging space where students interacted directly with the author, shared their thoughts, and learned to read with curiosity, listen with intention, and observe the world around them with empathy and care.
