HIGHLIGHT
ACTIVITIES

Educational connections, real-world insights with students from HCMC University of Education

The collaboration between Sedbergh Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City University of Education brought Psychology students a hands-on glimpse into how a positive and inspiring school environment is thoughtfully cultivated. The visit centered around key topics such as:
- The role of the House System in fostering belonging and connection among students
- The ‘Restorative Practice’ model—resolving conflict through empathy and open dialogue
- A school-based psychological support system that walks alongside every child

At Sedbergh Vietnam, we believe that when educational communities come together, they do more than share knowledge—they open doors for forward-thinking ideas to be exchanged, refined, and brought to life in meaningful ways.

SEDTalks #6: Decode educational pathway, finding the right learning path for your child

At the event, Dr Nguyễn Thị Thu Huyền – a seasoned education expert – offered candid and practical insights, emphasising that a quality learning environment should not be measured by its “cost”, but by the long-term value it brings to each child’s development.

Alongside this, an in-depth analysis by the Sedbergh Vietnam Headmistress explored the strengths and limitations of different academic programmes. This helped parents gain a clearer understanding of which path might best suit their children – whether bilingual or monolingual, grounded in current ability or geared towards future potential.

An academic choice should not be a compromise, but a purposeful investment – as every decision made today lays the foundation for a brighter, broader tomorrow.

Grade 11 internship program: Broaden perspectives, shape future paths

As a key component of the career counseling program at Sedbergh Vietnam – BCIS, the annual Grade 11 Internship Program gives students the chance to step into the real world of work. Over the course of a week, our Wolves explore various industries—from media and design to business and hospitality—through hands-on placements with partner organizations.

This practical approach allows students to see the nuances between professions, helping them discover where their passions and strengths align. It’s also a meaningful step toward mapping out an academic path that reflects who they are and what they aspire to become.

Expanding study abroad pathways with Keiser University Vietnam

At Sedbergh Vietnam, students begin exploring their future from the early years of secondary school through real-world experiences with international universities — like the recent session with Keiser University Vietnam.

As the official Vietnam campus of Keiser University (USA), the team introduced our students to:
- A U.S.-standardized academic experience right here in Vietnam
- Seamless pathways to continue studies in the U.S., Canada, Australia, or Europe
- Exclusive scholarships and offers designed for Sedbergh Vietnam students

More than just an info session, it was a chance for our students to expand their options, take ownership of their international journey, and take meaningful steps toward their study-abroad goals.

Tropical Day at Sedbergh Vietnam – A celebration of summer spirit

As summer draws near, our Wolves House Council brought the warmth and joy of the season to life, turning campus into a vibrant celebration for both students and teachers. From floral prints to straw hats, everyone joined in with heart and style. It was a day filled with laughter, colour, and the kind of memories that make school feel like a second home.

When the classroom turns into a stage, every student becomes an artist

As part of the Performing Arts module, Class 12D brought music to life through fully staged performances — complete with vocals, expression, choreography, and technical production in lighting and sound.

More than a performance, it was a hands-on learning experience — where students applied their knowledge, honed collaboration skills, and gained confidence in front of an audience. The event also welcomed Music teachers from other schools, creating a vibrant space for sharing ideas and exploring Sedbergh Vietnam’s approach to arts-based learning.

SEDTalks #7: The power of connection - Guiding your child through friendship

SEDTalks #7 featuring psychologist Dr Tô Nhi A provided profound insights into the crucial role of friendship in the emotional and character development of children. Friendship is not simply a social connection but a foundation that helps children learn empathy, understanding, and essential life skills.

“Every child has their own unique learning pattern,” Dr Tô Nhi A shared, emphasising that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to a child’s development. What matters most is a holistic, harmonious partnership between parents and the school.

Sedbergh Vietnam takes pride in cultivating a nurturing learning environment where every child is listened to and supported to flourish intellectually and emotionally. Events like SEDTalks not only equip parents with expert knowledge but also act as a bridge to deepen their understanding of the school’s educational philosophy, fostering a collaborative and sustainable journey of growth for each child.
