HONOURS TALK #1 – UNLOCKING KNOWLEDGE, EMPOWERING CAREERS WITH GUEST SPEAKER NGUYEN DANG DAO

At Honours Talk #1, “Unlocking Knowledge, Empowering Careers,” PhD candidate Nguyen Dang Dao (National University of Singapore), alumnus of Tsinghua University, offered Sedbergh Vietnam students a panoramic view of studying abroad in Asia, Europe, and the U.S. He highlighted that each region offers distinctive characteristics in terms of entry requirements, academic culture, campus life, and development opportunities, making them suitable for different groups of students.

Regardless of destination, students must continuously cultivate two core competencies: the ability to learn and the ability to define themselves. In doing so, every academic and extracurricular experience accumulated becomes a valuable “asset,” enabling young learners to craft a compelling personal brand story and present a clear vision to admissions committees.

Honours Talk is part of the Honours Programme, giving students the opportunity to engage in conversations with students and alumni from leading universities worldwide, as well as experts across diverse fields. They also receive guidance on university applications and participate in learning experiences at prestigious institutions.
