Joining the Student Council, Global Issues Network or House Councils provides opportunities for students to develop leadership, collaboration, and communication skills. During their tenure in these councils, they will participate in and provide student perspectives on school-wide issues, concerns and plan a great variety of events. These interactions ensure the continued development of critical thinking, problem-solving, innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial skills that are essential for the truly global citizens of today.

Over the years, along with promoting and supporting a great number of charities, members of these councils have organized annual Halloween activities, the amazing Spring Concert that highlights the many varied talents of SSV students, Teacher Appreciation Day, House Days, and offered input on uniforms, a new student lounge, and optional programs and activities.
