Welcomes the new school year 2023 – 2024
On the morning of August 14th, nearly 2000 multinational students from the Canadian International School (CIS) and Sedbergh Vietnam – BCIS, located in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, eagerly embarked on their first day back to school. This day is regarded as a significant event for the students as they return to school after a long summer break, ready to welcome the new academic year.
Following the annual tradition, CISS students were warmly welcomed and received gifts from the Leadership Team, teachers, and staff members. They wrote their academic goals on wish ribbons hung from a wishing tree, met with the House Council, and participated in various activities. Particularly, first-time students like the first graders received the caring attention of the teachers, making their first day of school much smoother.
On the inaugural day of the school year, students had the chance to meet their teachers, make new friends, receive guidance about the upcoming academic year, explore the school layout, and get introduced to the school’s personnel.
This year, the Canadian International School System has chosen the theme “Green School” for the Back to School celebration, aiming to promote a positive lifestyle and contribute to building an environmentally conscious, clean, and community-responsible school.
