Kick-off the Sedbergh Moments Competition – Celebrating the International Education Partnership with Sedbergh School

To commemorate and honor this special milestone, Sedbergh Vietnam – BCIS kick-off the SEDERGH MOMENTS Photo/Video Competition. 

Introduction to the Contest

The photo contest “Sedbergh Moments – Capturing the Wolfpack Spirit”, hosted by Sedbergh Vietnam, aims to create an engaging platform for students, parents, and teachers to share stories and moments connected to Sedbergh Vietnam. This school carries the legacy of Sedbergh School, a prestigious British institution with a 500-year history.

This activity is part of a project celebrating the international educational partnership that established Sedbergh Vietnam.

Eligibility

  • Students and parents currently enrolled at Sedbergh Vietnam – BCIS.
  • Teachers and staff working at Sedbergh Vietnam – BCIS.

Members of the Organizing Committee and Judging Panel are not eligible to participate.

Note:

  • Participants under 15 years old must have a guardian submit their entries and assume full responsibility for copyright matters. For winning entries, guardians will manage all prize collection processes on behalf of the participants.

How to Enter

Participants can submit multiple entries through the following steps:

  1. Step 1:
    Post your entry, including the caption and photo/video, on your personal Facebook account (public setting), and add the contest hashtag: #SedberghVietnamspecialday.
  2. Step 2:
    Tag the Sedbergh Vietnam – BCIS Fanpage in your post or caption.
  3. Step 3:
    Submit your entry via the registration link and include your lucky number.

Timeline

  • Contest Announcement: November 11, 2024.
  • Submission Period: From 5:00 PM on November 11, 2024, to 11:59:59 PM on November 24, 2024.

Voting for the “Most Favorite Moment” category: From 12:00 AM on November 12 to 11:59:59 PM on November 24, 2024.

Contest Format

The contest includes two categories:

  1. Photo
  2. Video

Submission Guidelines

Content Criteria

  • Share reflections or stories tied to Sedbergh Vietnam – BCIS.
  • Content must be school-appropriate, free from offensive language, and comply with Facebook’s policies and cultural standards.
  • Posts must not exceed 300 words (including bilingual content if applicable).

Photo Category

  • Photos must be taken at Sedbergh Vietnam or feature subjects/scenes related to the school.
  • Photos can be captured using cameras, mobile devices, or other digital tools and must be uploaded to Facebook.
  • File formats: .jpg or .png, maximum size: 6MB.
  • Photos must not include frames, borders, logos, or signatures.
  • Suggested themes include moments at Sedbergh Vietnam – BCIS, school uniforms, House activities, and memorabilia with the Sedbergh logo.

Video Category

  • Videos must be digital files in .mp4 format.
  • Minimum resolution: Full HD, maximum file size: 200MB.
  • Videos must not exceed 5 minutes.
  • Consent is required for any individuals featured in the video.
  • Content should highlight meaningful moments at Sedbergh Vietnam.

Judging and Awards

  • “Most Favorite Moment” Award:
    Determined by interaction scores (likes, hearts, other reactions, and shares) with the following point system:
    • Like, Heart, Other Reactions, and Shares: 2 points each.
      Only one award will be given in this category.
  • “Most Impressive Moment” Award:
    Selected by the Organizing Committee and School Leadership. Only one award will be granted.
  • “Lucky Moment” Award:
    Chosen based on the participant’s submitted lucky number closest to the one announced by the Organizing Committee.

General Rules

  • Entries found to involve fraudulent activities (e.g., artificial engagement boosts) will be disqualified.
  • The Organizing Committee reserves the right to use submitted entries for promotional purposes without requiring additional permissions or compensation.
  • Participants must provide accurate personal information. The Committee is not responsible for incorrect details from the entrants.
  • The Committee may disqualify winners if any rule violations (e.g., copyright infringement) are detected.
  • Any disputes will be resolved solely by the Committee, whose decision is final.
  • If necessary, the Committee may request original photo files.
  • The Committee is not liable for complaints, disputes, or violations related to the contest, including but not limited to copyright breaches, tax obligations, and contest rules violations.
