SEDBERGH VIETNAM ESTABLISHES A STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH ACCA AND THE HONG KONG POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY
Sedbergh Vietnam officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). This marks the first time in Vietnam that a secondary school has joined forces with a global professional body and a university to progressively establish a clear academic pathway for students interested in accounting and finance.
Through initiatives delivered under the MOU, Sedbergh Vietnam students will be able to:
Explore career pathways from an early stage through the Career Ready Programme (CRP), gradually developing an understanding of business, accounting and finance, ACCA’s international professional standards, and the capabilities required for their future careers.
Prepare proactively for university through engagement with PolyU, gaining insights into an international academic environment, degree programmes and career options. PolyU is currently ranked 50th worldwide in the QS World University Rankings 2027.
Shorten the pathway from university to the ACCA qualification. Sedbergh Vietnam students who progress to PolyU and enrol in eligible Accounting and Finance programmes may receive exemptions from up to nine ACCA exams, potentially shortening the standard route towards this internationally recognised professional qualification by at least two years.
The partnership also provides an exclusive scholarship for Sedbergh Vietnam students worth HKD 95,000, equivalent to approximately VND 314 million. This financial support may be combined with other scholarships offered by PolyU.
Establishing this partnershipthis strategic collaboration with ACCA, a leading global professional accountancy body, and PolyU, one of the world’s leading universities, reflects Sedbergh Vietnam’s growing academic reputation and its ability to build global partnerships that create meaningful opportunities for students.
