GRADE 11 CAREER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: EXPLORING THE FIELD OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

The Faculty of Business Administration, University of Economics and Finance (UEF) was among the organizations that welcomed Grade 11 students from Sedbergh Vietnam as part of the school’s career internship program for the 2024–2025 academic year.
UEF is a higher education institution in Ho Chi Minh City offering doctoral, master’s, and undergraduate programs. The university integrates global best practices in higher education with the unique characteristics of Vietnamese academia to create an advanced training model. Its approach is built around four key pillars: mindset, knowledge, skills, and attitude — aiming to deliver high added value to each learner.

During the internship week, students engaged in a variety of practical activities, including teamwork training, public speaking, and personal branding workshops. They also had the opportunity to meet with experienced faculty members and explore fundamental concepts in business and management.

The program concluded with a group simulation task, designed to offer students a more holistic and insightful view of the business administration field — helping them connect theory with practice in a dynamic, hands-on format.

Sedbergh Vietnam’s faculty actively visited students onsite, gathering feedback and working closely with the host organization to ensure the quality of the experience. This ongoing collaboration between school, business, and students plays a key role in delivering a meaningful and effective career orientation.

This internship is an integral part of Sedbergh Vietnam’s comprehensive career guidance program. Spending a week in a real-world setting helps students better understand different industries, clarify their interests and strengths, and begin to shape an informed academic and career path aligned with their aspirations as they prepare for the final stages of their education.
