GRADE 11 CAREER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: EXPLORING THE FIELD OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Aptech Group was among the organizations that welcomed Grade 11 students from Sedbergh Vietnam as part of the school’s career internship program for the 2024–2025 academic year.
With over 34 years of experience in IT education, Aptech is an international training organization that delivers programming and technology courses in more than 40 countries. Its programs are implemented through a network of over 1,300 training centers and have reached millions of learners worldwide.
During the internship, Sedbergh Vietnam students participated in basic tasks within a website design project using WordPress. The experience provided a practical introduction to how projects are carried out in the IT field. Students also had the chance to speak with professionals currently working in the industry, helping them gain a clearer understanding of real-world workplace expectations and career paths in technology.
Sedbergh Vietnam’s faculty actively visited students onsite, gathering feedback and working closely with the host organization to ensure the quality of the experience. This ongoing collaboration between school, business, and students plays a key role in delivering a meaningful and effective career orientation.
This internship is an integral part of Sedbergh Vietnam’s comprehensive career guidance program. Spending a week in a real-world setting helps students better understand different industries, clarify their interests and strengths, and begin to shape an informed academic and career path aligned with their aspirations as they prepare for the final stages of their education.
