GRADE 11 CAREER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: EXPLORING THE FIELD OF PEDIATRIC HEALTHCARE

Phuong Nam Hospital was among the organizations that welcomed Grade 11 students from Sedbergh Vietnam as part of the school’s career internship program for the 2024–2025 academic year.

A member of the Phuong Chau Medical Group, Phuong Nam General Hospital brings over 13 years of expertise in providing comprehensive healthcare services for women and children. Operating under rigorous safety and quality standards, the hospital is committed to delivering modern, specialized care grounded in compassion and ethical practice.

During the internship, students were able to observe the daily operations of medical professionals in a real hospital setting. They also participated in a series of basic, supervised tasks appropriate to their level, carried out under strict protocols to ensure safety and compliance. Beyond hands-on exposure, students had the chance to engage directly with doctors and healthcare staff, asking questions and gaining deeper insight into both the broader healthcare sector and the specific demands of pediatric care.

Sedbergh Vietnam’s faculty actively visited students onsite, gathering feedback and working closely with the host organization to ensure the quality of the experience. This ongoing collaboration between school, business, and students plays a key role in delivering a meaningful and effective career orientation.

This internship is an integral part of Sedbergh Vietnam’s comprehensive career guidance program. Spending a week in a real-world setting helps students better understand different industries, clarify their interests and strengths, and begin to shape an informed academic and career path aligned with their aspirations as they prepare for the final stages of their education.
