GRADE 11 CAREER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: EXPLORING THE FIELD OF SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT & LOGISTICS
Tan Cang – STC was among the organizations that welcomed Grade 11 students from Sedbergh Vietnam as part of the school’s career internship program for the 2024–2025 academic year.
Tan Cang – STC is a specialized training center in Vietnam focused on logistics, seaport operations, and maritime transport. The center was established through a partnership between Saigon Newport Corporation and the STC Group (Netherlands). Known for its advanced simulation systems and hands-on teaching approach, Tan Cang – STC has delivered short-term training programs to thousands of students, professionals, and industry personnel. In addition to theoretical instruction, the center offers learners direct exposure to the real-life operational models of one of Vietnam’s leading logistics and maritime service providers.
Throughout the internship week, students observed real-time logistics workflows at the center and engaged in simulated exercises related to supply chain and logistics operations. Under the guidance of experienced staff, they completed basic hands-on tasks designed for career exploration, asked questions, and interacted directly with professionals in the field to gain a deeper understanding of industry standards and workplace expectations.
This immersive experience gave students an initial insight into how professional logistics and transport systems operate, while also broadening their awareness of the increasingly critical role that strategic logistics plays in today’s global economy.
Sedbergh Vietnam’s faculty actively visited students onsite, gathering feedback and working closely with the host organization to ensure the quality of the experience. This ongoing collaboration between school, business, and students plays a key role in delivering a meaningful and effective career orientation.
This internship is an integral part of Sedbergh Vietnam’s comprehensive career guidance program. Spending a week in a real-world setting helps students better understand different industries, clarify their interests and strengths, and begin to shape an informed academic and career path aligned with their aspirations as they prepare for the final stages of their education.
