THE NCUK UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION PROGRAMME AT SEDBERGH VIETNAM – A NEW GATEWAY TO GLOBAL EDUCATION

Sedbergh Vietnam and NCUK have officially announced their international education partnership, launching the International Foundation Year programme at Sedbergh Vietnam. The ceremony was honored by the presence of Ms. Alexandra Smith (British Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City), Ms. Phuong Ho (Representative of the British Embassy in Vietnam), and Mr. Adrian Ting (Regional Manager of NCUK). Attending the event, British Consul General Alexandra Smith highlighted that the school’s reputation for nurturing generations of outstanding and well-rounded students in the UK will continue at Sedbergh Vietnam. Her presence and support served as a strong encouragement for the school to confidently advance its mission of bringing the excellence of British education to Vietnam.

This event marks a significant milestone in Sedbergh Vietnam’s development. The school is proud to join NCUK’s global network of partner institutions. Through this partnership, students are guaranteed a trusted pathway to leading international universities, including members of the Russell Group in the UK, the Group of Eight (Go8) in Australia, as well as many top universities in the United States, Canada, and New Zealand.

During the recent NCUK University Foundation Programme Information Day at Sedbergh Vietnam, Dr. Nguyễn Quang Minh, Mr. Adrian Ting, and Mr. Shaun Mulholland (Academic Manager) provided an in-depth overview of the values and benefits students gain from the programme. Beyond accelerating the path to top universities, the NCUK pathway also helps students shape their personal identity, develop essential skills, and integrate internationally while still studying in Vietnam, with strong assurance of admission to more than 60 partner universities.

Moreover, parents and students had the opportunity to connect directly with representatives from prestigious universities such as UNSW Sydney, Durham University, Newcastle University, and Toronto Metropolitan University, helping them build a solid foundation for the future.

Sedbergh Vietnam is proud to be the first K–12 school in Southern Vietnam to implement the NCUK programme. With its well-structured design, the programme opens a new gateway for young generations to discover their strengths and create a bright future. Once again, congratulations on this memorable milestone for the Sedbergh Vietnam community!
