UNLOCKING CREATIVE POTENTIAL WITH MAGIC AI THROUGH THE “UNTOLD STORIES” CONTEST

This week, the familiar reading space transformed into a mini “creative studio”, where our Year 5 students continued developing their entries for the “Untold Stories” contest.

Guided by the teachers, the students explored MagicSchool – an educational AI tool designed to expand ideas and spark imagination. Yet the true value lay not in the technology itself, but in how the children blended AI support with their own creative thinking:

In earlier sessions, students worked in groups to analyse the original stories, explore key plot details, and experiment with writing alternative endings using their imagination, supported by prompts from their teachers and MagicSchool.

Gradually, each story began to take shape. MagicSchool also helps students turn digital and AI-generated ideas into a concept board: they sketch on the ipad, select images, plan layouts, and design decorations.

This experience allowed students to understand AI in a meaningful way: learning how to collaborate with technology, listen to one another, and develop ideas with greater confidence.
