FROM THE CLASSROOM TO THE GLOBAL WORKFORCE – PREPARING THE NEXT GENERATION OF FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING PROFESSIONALS

For many years, Accounting and Auditing have been viewed as professions defined by numbers, regulations, and technical expertise. Today, however, the rapid advancement of technology and artificial intelligence is reshaping the profession and transforming the skills required for long-term success.

At the workshop “Readiness goes beyond qualifications”, parents and students had the opportunity to engage with and learn from representatives of University of Macedonia, ACCA Vietnam, and Sedbergh Vietnam. Together, they explored the competencies and mindsets that will be essential for future careers in Finance, Accounting, and Auditing.

A key message echoed throughout the discussion was that career readiness should begin long before university. The secondary school years are a critical period for students to develop strong learning habits, discover their strengths, and build the foundational skills that will support their future aspirations.

Drawing on practical perspectives from education experts, the discussion highlighted that early guidance is not about making career decisions prematurely, but about empowering students to understand their strengths, build key competencies, and confidently navigate the opportunities of an ever-evolving future.
