BUILDING A STRATEGY AND SHAPING THE RIGHT PATHWAY WITH SEDBERGH VIETNAM

Preparing for A Levels and university study internationally begins with understanding personal strengths and the academic demands ahead. Choosing IGCSE subjects should therefore reflect not only students’ current interests, but also their longer-term aspirations.

With this in mind, Sedbergh Vietnam held the IGCSE Subject Strategies workshop on 28 August for Grade 9 and 10 students in the Monolingual Programme. Through insights from the University & Careers team and an IvyPrep representative, students explored the IGCSE programme, its academic requirements and pathways beyond secondary school. A Q&A session offered opportunities to discuss their questions, helping them make informed subject choices and plan ahead for A Levels.

As part of academic and career guidance at Sedbergh Vietnam, the workshop supports students in taking greater ownership of their decisions. With guidance at each transition, students can make confident choices, approach their studies with purpose and prepare for their journey towards university study internationally.
